Interprofessional education provided to LU Pharmacy students

56 Miami-Dade College Physician Assistant students joined Larkin’s inaugural Pharm.D. class for an interprofessional experience and workshop.  In order to accommodate the large group, breakout rooms were used to simulcast the presentation with DCAS faculty members (Dr. Benavides, Dr. Arric, Dr. Jodoin, and Dr. Parmar) assisting with group activities.  The session began with an ice breaker on facing fears and a presentation from Dr. Chow on emotional agility and group dynamics.  The day closed with discussions and case evaluations covering interprofessional communication and the intersection of Physician Assistant and Pharmacy practice.
