Pharm4Me Innovation Challenge brings local high school students to Larkin University College of Pharmacy

Northeast High School Students from Fort Lauderdale, FL visited Larkin College of Pharmacy

As part of the American Association of College of Pharmacy’s Pharmacy is Right for Me (Pharm4Me) initiative, Larkin University College of Pharmacy’s clinical faculty Drs. Chow and Sedlacek hosted Northeast High School students on Wednesday, January 10th to learn about pharmacy practice.  Larkin University College of Pharmacy second-year pharmacy students worked one-on-one with the high school students to develop their Pharm4Me Student Innovation Challenge project.  Pharmaceutical Sciences department faculty Dr. Uddin invited the students to the compounding lab where they learned about medication dosage forms and how to prepare lozenges. The day concluded with a pizza party and reflection about what they learned with Mr. Saud, Director of Admissions.
