LU College of Biomedical Science offers an accelerated 3 semester curriculum to enhance your academic record and prepare you to enter health profession careers. The curriculum is designed to parallel the first year of medical school and is taught by both PhD and MD faculty. Content is presented by subject matter and organ system which highlights not only healthy functioning systems but presents the most common disorders and diseases of each organ system. Didactic courses are complemented by clinical shadowing experiences in hospitals and with physicians as well as opportunities to learn and participate in research activities to enhance your application to health professions school. Your professional development course will focus on the application process, CV, personal interview, and practice interviews, as well as an exam preparation course with practice questions and mock exams to prepare for your entrance exam, such as DAT, MCAT, GRE, etc. This holistic approach to our curriculum allows you to enhance your skills, knowledge and attitude to make you an exceptional candidate for professional school.
