(MIAMI, FL) As part of LU’s current ongoing voluntary vaccination campaign to achieve the highest possible voluntary vaccination rate for our community to return to normalcy this fall and the campus life we all remember, Larkin University proudly accepted an invitation from the White House and the U.S. Department of Education to participate in the COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge on June 8th, 2021.
Larkin University is one of three universities in South Florida that joint the challenge and is named on the participants list on the White House web pages.
The challenge is part of the National Month of Action to mobilize 70% of adults to get at least one shot by July 4th, and Larkin University and all other participating institutions have raised their hands and committed to taking three action steps:
Participation in the COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge is another important step in Larkin LU’s work to promote widespread vaccination within the community.
Larkin University’s top priority and effort is to provide to our community a stimulating and safe study and working environment and to get back to as much normalcy as possible while keeping our community safe. As a participant in the COVID-19 College Vaccine Challenge, Larkin University will further accelerate its efforts in support of the goal of widespread vaccination and putting an end to the COVID-19 pandemic. Together, all our students, faculty, and staff members, we can keep each other safe by taking the COVID College Challenge pledge, committing to action, and getting the COVID-19 vaccine.
