FIVE NEW PHARMACY LEADERSHIP SOCIETY MEMBERS INDUCTED

On 11/23/19, the LU Phi Lambda Sigma Epsilon Theta chapter inducted 5 new members from the class of 2021 (pictured, left to right): Scott Arrighi, Taylor Harris, Panajota Mavrakis, Caitlin Stephens, and Gerald Williams. Also to be inducted from the class of 2021 is Sukeina Nasser, who was not in attendance today. Many thanks to the current student officers for their tireless efforts in organizing the application/review process and this induction ceremony, and to all previously inducted members who joined us this morning for sharing this special moment with our growing chapter of student leaders. Also in attendance today was COP Dean, Dr. Gary Levin, the LU chapter’s first honorary inductee.

PLS, the Pharmacy Leadership Society, recognizes outstanding student leaders who actively work to promote the profession as leaders in their school and community. Only 10% of each student cohort is eligible to be inducted during each cycle. This is LU’s second induction ceremony, after our chapter’s chartering and first induction cycle last year. We have currently inducted students from 3 student cohorts, and there will be another application cycle for class of 2021 students in spring 2020. Students interested in joining PLS should contact the organization advisor, Dr. Melissa Santibanez (msantibanez@myularkin.org) for more information.
