Dr. Perez serves as an associate professor at the College of Biomedical Sciences. She received her medical degree at Escuela Autonoma de Sciences Medica, San Jose, Costa Rica. Dr. Perez did her residency in Psychiatry at Larkin Hospital. She is a faculty member at LU since 2017.
Dr. Perez co-developed and teaches clinical track courses to medical foreign graduates seeking residency in the U.S. and medical Spanish. She also teaches master biomedical science courses such as Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, and Pathophysiology. Dr. Perez’s special interests include developing students’ curricula and is a sponsor of the Student Leadership Council, Community Service, Journal Club, Jeopardy Club, and Research Certifications.
